Busy Wednesday Ahead - All Four Marauder Teams in Action

On Wednesday, Hanover will do what only one other high school in the state (Exeter)  is capable of doing, sending four discrete boys' teams into action.  In all, 107 Marauders will be in uniform.  It's a pretty impressive, having nearly one-third of the entire male student body playing competitive soccer on the same day.

The JV2 team will be on the road, traveling to Fall Mountain for a 4:30 game.  Their bus will leave at dismissal time, right after school.  No need to leave classes early.  Good luck finding your team bus amidst all of the home-bound busses running regular routes.  No rush.  You can wait for those busses to take off, and then hop onto the one left behind.

The Freshmen have 45 minutes after school to have a snack, change, and get homework done (all the better to be able to then attend the Varsity game at 6:00!) before catching the practice bus at 2:45 (or so) to Dresden.  It's a bit early, but that's the way the Wednesday bus schedule works.  The Freshmen kick off against Merrimack at 4:30 at Dresden.  There is no bus back to HHS after the game, so make your own plans.

The JV1 team will have their home opener at 4:00 on the HHS grass field against Merrimack.  You know the drill.

The Varsity plays the second half of a doubleheader (girls' game at 4:00) on the Turf, hosting Merrimack at 6:00.  They will be collecting non-Perishable food items for The Haven, and we''d love to have every Hanover player bring one item to school (just slip some peanut butter or soup - with permission into your backpack).  There will be collection bins by the trophy case in the athletic hallway all day long.

We are grateful to the players, parents and coaches who have made days like tomorrow happen!
