After what was hopefully a restful weekend, the Marauder Soccer machine will cough back into gear on Tuesday, with all four teams pressing for Wednesday matches, three at home and one on the road.
In addition to practicing (three at Dresden at 4:00), the Varsity on the turf at 7:30, all four teams will be getting their second set of game uniforms. The Varsity is almost set. The Freshmen, JV1 and JV2 teams will get their uniforms at practice. JV2 and Freshmen will wear the shorts their received last week, but will receive contrasting tops and socks (white road uniforms for JV2, maroon at home for Freshmen. Be sure to remember your shorts on Wednesday!). If we can manage it, we will also try and give the JV1 and JV2 teams their practice tops. We are confident that most of the uniforms will be a decent fit. If there are issues, we will tend to them after Wednesday.
We are still missing several practice uniforms that were used during preseason. Please bring these to training tomorrow.
All three subvarsity teams will be taking the practice bus to Dresden. It could be crowded. Please make sure you are getting on the right bus, and please make extra sure that you are flexible and well-behaved for the short ride to Dresden. If the Driver requests/allows it, three in a seat is permissible. Do not contribute to any chaos, either waiting for the bus, or on the trip over. I have my spies watching.
We would love to have the JV1 and Freshman teams plan to watch the Varsity game on the turf at 6:00 on Wednesday. We would love it even more if everyone coming ot the game could bring a non-perishable food item for The Haven. We'll be collecting food at most home games, and would love to start with a good collection this Wednesday.
