The Hanover Soccer Blog is Open For Business

Dear Friends -

The Hanover High School Boys' Soccer Blog is open for business for the 2018 season.  We intend for this to be the primary means for players, parents and friends to get information about the four Hanover High teams playing this fall.  We have been relying on parent e-mails, and will continue to send regular e-mail updates.  We will be linked with the Hanover High School Athletic Department web page, which will have information updated regularly.  But this blog should be your primary source of timely information.  We will post a weekly schedule for practices, games and events, and update it whenever there is a chance.  We will write at least one post EVERY DAY and hold all players responsible for the information we send.  The daily posts will occur at night, and will include game results, and information for the next day.  HHS game and practice schedules are reliable, but they change due to weather, school events and occurrences, and capricious circumstance. Get in the habit, starting Thursday morning, August 16, of checking the blog every day before practice or before school.  When weather is an issue, check during the day.  Weather-related postponements and cancellations are almost always posted by 1:00 p.m.

Preseason practices are off to an excellent start.  More than 80 student-athletes have been attending every day.  More will be joining during the week, and we expect a good number to start next week.
We will be naming the Varsity team on Saturday, August 18, right here on the blog, at 6:00 p.m.  The Varsity take their annual trip to the Windridge Sports Camp on Monday, August 20th, returning the next day.  The three subvarsity teams will be named next week, and all four teams will begin playing the week after that.
